On offer: An unidentified cousin writes six pages [6] on two sheets of paper, on July 11, 1879 to her "Dear Cousin Ell" with mentions of 'The Ladies Aid Society', Sabbath, Paris, Germany, Ireland and Scotland. Sheet 1 reads in part: "I have been exceedingly interested in your travels, and have been able, by consulting the maps, and reading matter of my Encyclopedia to follow you, in nearly all of your wanderings. We had an old fashion celebration on the fourth. We could almost imagine we heard you hurrah on the fourth. I suppose your Mother told you of our communion services on Sabbath last. 'The Ladies Aid Society' had a sale of refreshments at the basement of the church on the fourth - did not do wonderfully well, but cleared twenty-five dollars." Sheet 2 reads in part: "I commenced to copy some of your letters, Jordan people will have the impression that all I care for your trip, is only so far as your food is concerned. I expect you will be ready to talk French and German when you return. Do you think you will get to Ireland and Scotland?"
